Target Archery News

20/7/08 - EMAS FITA Star at Welbeck - Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams took part in this event on Sunday. Shooting in some of the strongest winds of the season, Wendy won the ladies compound class. Several archers retired because of the wind, estimated at 45mph by the judges. Simon Terry was a last minute entry and was the only archer to break 1300. Some photos of the day can be found here

12 - 13/07/08 - Clophill FITA Fest - Wendy Rowell took part in both days of the FITA fest with Paul Adams shooting on the Sunday. On the Saturday Wendy was seeded 6th after the 720 and after knocking Andrea Gales out in the H2H went on to meet Nichola Simpson in the Bronze medal match. Unfortunately Nichola was on form and she beat Wendy who took 4th place. However with Nichola Simpson, Nicky Hunt, Andrea Gales, Lucy Holderness and Ricki Bingham all shooting I think she was pleased with 4th. On the Sunday Wendy showed improved performance to finish 1st seed from the 720 and took silver in the H2H after a close fough final against Lucy Holderness. Paul got through to the H2H but was unfortunately knocked out in the first round. Wendy shot with Simon Terry on both days, his last event before heading off to Beijing. Some photos can be found here

5 - 6/07/08 - Junior National Championships - Ellen Talbot was the only Lincolnshire Junior to take part in the 2008 National Junior Championships at Lilleshall. Joining 232 archers from around the UK, Ellen was in the EMAS team that came 3rd in the Regional Trophy competition. On the Saturday Ellen shot very well and despite having 2 misses she managed to come 8th in the metric round. On Sunday Ellen shot better, having no misses and managing to come 6th in the Bristol IV round. The weather didn't help with rain on both days, quite strong winds on the Saturday easing a little on the Sunday. This was Ellen's first time at a National tournament and the first time she has shot for EMAS.

28-29/06/08 - EMAS Double FITA Star - Juniors Ellen Talbot and Toni Talbot together with Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams shot at the EMAS Double FITA Star at Washingborough over the weekend 28th and 29th of June. We would like to congratulate Ellen on winning her Junior Ladies class and on gaining her 1100 FITA Star. Toni shot as an adult on the Sunday scoring in the 700's (exact results to follow) and Wendy won the double in ladies compound for the second year. The wind was blustery and tricky over the weekend gusting up to 30mph and the shoot was nearly abandoned on Sunday because of the heavy rain. Some photographs of the weekend can be seen here

15/06/08 - EMAS Target Championships - Held at Washingborough near Lincoln. Juniors Ellen and Toni Talbot with Seniors Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams represented Friskney Bowmen. We would like to congratulate Wendy on retaining her Ladies Compound title for a second year. Some photographs can be found Here

08/06/08 - Lincolnshire County Championships - Held at Pilgrim Bowmen of Boston, we would like to congratulate Ellen Talbot on becoming Junior Girl Recurve Champion and Daniel Severn on becoming Junior Boy Compound Champion for 2008. More information and results to follow.

08 - 09/06/08 - UK Masters at Lilleshall - Wendy Rowell shot at the UK Masters this weekend. This tournament is by invitation only for Master and Grand Master Bowmen. 29 Ladies Coimpound Archers took part including all of the GB Squad. On the Saturday Wendy finished 7th in the FITA 720 and reached the quarter finals of the head to heads. She was in 6th place going into the full FITA round on the Sunday. Wendy shot a 1350 to finish 5th in the FITA round and 7th overall. Wendy was pleased to achieve a top 10 finish and get her final GMB Score as well as her FITA 1350 Star. A full list of results can be found Here and some photographs can be found Here

01/06/08 - Friskney York, Hereford and Bristols - an excellent day with many PB's being broken by club members and visitors. We would like to thank all those who took part and who helped setup and take down at the end of the day, especially those from visiting clubs. The full results list can be seen here however we would especially like to congratulate Craig Severn on doubling his PB for a York and Wendy Rowell for scoring 1286 which is 6 higher than her own GB record. A special mention also goes to Sarah Roberts shooting as a junior for Friskney for the first time. Some photographs can be found here

31/05/08 - YAA FITA Star at Wetherby - Daniel Severn (Compound) and Ellen Talbot (Recurve) made up part of the Lincolnshire Junior team that competed in the Junior Inter Counties at Wetherby. Unfortunately Yorkshire won this year but we would like to congratulate all our County junior squad for their effort and of course Kay for keeping a cool head throughout the day. We would also like to congratulate Wendy Rowell for winning the ladies Compound category in the main FITA Star and also winning 2 of the distance awards as well as shooting another GMB score. Some photographs can be found here

26/05/08 - Welbeck RS Double FITA 720 - We would like to congratulate Paul Adams on his 3rd place recurve in the double FITA 720 and his first place in the second session of the 720. More trees fell during the morning and many archers retired with only 18 completing both sessions. Winds of up to 49mph proved very challenging.

25/05/08 - Welbeck RS York, Hereford, Bristols. Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams represented Friskney Bowmen at the Record Status event held at Welbeck Archers ground. The conditions were not ideal with very strong winds gusting, so strong in fact that two trees were brought down in the adjoining wood during the longest distance ends. It was dry until around 4pm when the rain started. This lasted until it was time for the presentations. We would like to congratulate Wendy Rowell for winning the ladies compound title and being the only archer to break 1200 on the day. Some photos of the day can be seen here

18/05/08 - Silver Spoon FITA 900 - Ellen Talbot, Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams represented Friskney Bowmen at the Silver Spoon FITA 900. We would like to congratulate Ellen on winning the junior ladies recurve and Wendy for winning the ladies compound. Some photographs can be seen here

11/05/08 - County Windsor - A well attended County Windsor took place on the club field with archers from around the County shooting on what must have been the hottest day of the year so far. A full list of results can be found here and photographs can be found here. We would like to congratulate all those from Friskney Bowmen who won an award.

  • Joe Lloyd - Gents Longbow

6/5/08 - Website Update - A major update of the club news area was required because the physical size of the page was slowing down the loading of this page. We have therefore split the page into 3, one for Field news one for Target news and one to cover club specific news such as club announcements.

05/5/08 - New British Record for Wendy - Shooting in appalling weather at Bronte Archers Record Status York, Hereford and Bristols on Sunday 4th of May Wendy set a new British National record of 1280 with 136 golds in the Ladies Compound Unlimited Class. This beats the 1276 set by Emma Parker in 2004.

Very heavy rain saw a number of retirements but Wendy knew she was heading for a good score. At 80yds Wendy had already beaten her PB for the distance and then went on to shoot maximum scores in the 60yd and 50yd distances.

14/4/08 - Archers out and about - Paul and Malcolm Adams were shooting at the Bassetlaw Pie and Pea's and Wendy Rowell shooting at the Clophill FITA Four 70m WRS for ranking scores where she shot a 671.

26/2/08 - Boston Indoor Series Final Round. Everyone involved in the Boston Indoor Series are reminded that the final round will be shot on Sunday March 2nd at Peter Paine Sports Center in Boston. Club members are asked to be at the center for 9am to help setup. The final round will be a Worcester x 2 and should see an exciting climax to the series. The gents compound is currently a tie between Peter Nettleton and Jim Lloyd and the gents longbow could go to the line. The format for this years awards will be the same as previous years:

Individual Championship - based on the accumulated scores of all sessions and rounds

Team & Husband/Wife - based on the highest number of points per round per archer

For next year we are changing the format so that Team and Husband and Wife trophies will be calculated in the same way as individual trophies ie Accumulated Score. We are also changing the 2 x FITA 25m round for a 2 x Vegas Round.

25/2/08 - Boston Indoor Series Accumulated Scores. A running cumulative results sheet can be found here. All those shooting the BIS are reminded that Series trophies are awarded on the accumulated total of all scores in both sessions of all rounds. So when viewing the results so far you will see large differences in some of the scores due to not everyone shooting both sessions or each round.

16/17 Feb 08 National Indoor Championships. Wendy Rowell represented England as part of the Compound Team in the Home Nations match against Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. England took first place with Scotland coming second. In the afternoon Wendy went on to shoot in the individual head to head matches. A close fought quarter final match against fellow England member Andrea Gales went to a tie break, this was repeated 3 times with both ladies scoring 10's. It was finally decided by measuring the nearest arrow to the middle. This meant Wendy met GB No.1 Lady, Nicky Hunt in the final. This was another close fought match with the lead changing each end of 3 arrows, Wendy finally winning the match and taking the British National Indoor Title with her last arrow.

We would also like to add our congratulations to Victoria Rumary of Anchor Bowmen for her 9th place in the Ladies Recurve on the Saturday beating England team member Michelle Kiddy into 10th place. Victoria is a popular competitor at many Friskney Shoots.

BIS FITA 18 x2 2/12/07. The second round of the Boston Indoor Series, a FITA 18m x 2 was shot on Sunday 2nd December 2007. A very cold Peter Paine Sports Centre welcomed archers from around the County. Even 3 Space heaters did not seem to have an impact on the very low temperature, most archers having to wear extra clothing, with huddles of archers around the heaters between ends. It was also noted that the 3 Spot JVD faces were not as bright as the single spots. The club chairman is investigating, as when one of the batch was compared to a JVD 3 spot obtained from another source there was a significant colour difference. The orange colour lighting did not help either. So well done to all those archers who persevered under less than ideal conditions. Results can be found here

Lincoln FITA 900 & FOLC Longbow Day 15th-16th September 2007. Initial reports from the FITA 900 are of an extremely windy tournament with all archers having great difficulty. It was also reported that timing had to be stopped at one of the distances due to the wind blowing arrows off rests and archers being unable to shoot their arrows within the allotted time. Paul Adams and Ellen Talbot represented Friskney Bowmen and Ellen won the Junior Ladies Recurve shooting at 50m for only the second time and above her distance scoring 509.

We are hoping to have a report from the FOLC Longbow day later this week.

Bingham 25th Anniversary Western 9th Sept 07. Members of Friskney Bowmen were successful in this Sunday's shoot at Bingham Leisure Centre. Wendy Rowell took the Ladies Compound class with a score of 850 which, subject to ratification is a new County and EMAS record. She also won the Rushcliffe Trophy for the highest score by any archer. Paul Adams came third in the Gents Recurve and Trevor Rowell came third in the Gents Compound.

Senior Inter-Counties Thoresby Trophy. Sunday 2nd of September 2007 saw the annual Thoresby Trophy shoot. This year held at Wellingborough. The following club members represented the County:

Longbow
Janet Lloyd
Joe Lloyd
Alan Blythyn

Recurve
Paul Adams

Compound
Wendy Rowell
Geoff Thomas

This was probably the windiest shoot of the year with strong gusty unpredictable winds affecting most scores. On average, scores were about 100 down on normal, with some exceptions including Paul Kendall (Silver Spoon) shooting his PB in only his 3rd York and first Lincolnshire Cap. Lincolnshire came 2nd in the Compound, 3rd in the Recurve and 4th in the Longbow competition. Team manager Kay Petchell tried to keep moral up during the day and seemed pleased with the overall results under the difficult conditions.

Day of Windsors at LADDAC 12th Aug 07. Members of Friskney Bowmen took part in the Windsors held at Louth. The wind was very strong and a break had to be taken as left handed archers were unable to keep their arrows on their rests. A thunder storm affected the very end of the day. We would like to congratulate Toni and Ellen Talbot on taking first and second place in the Junior Windsor ladies recurve. Ellen shot a 761 to set a new County record with Toni coming second with 742. I believe it was closely fought with Toni leading up till the end of the first 6 dozen.

British Target Championships 2007 - This years GNAS British Target Championships were held at Lillishall and included the Home Nations Tournament and various other competitions.

We would like to congratulate Wendy Rowell on coming 4th in the individual Compound Unlimited class, setting a new Lincolnshire and EMAS record, and being a member of the EMAS team that won the inter-regions cup. The event was shot over Saturday and Sunday the 11th and 12th of August and comprised a double Hereford.

Wendy being presented with her 4th place medal by
GNAS President Mr Tom Williamson

Wendy was disappointed with her first day score or 1244 which left her in 8th place, but still ahead of some of our Internationals. On Sunday she shot her PB and new County and Regional record of 1262 to move up to 4th place. Most of the day it was very close with GB team member Victoria Eaton with 4th and 5th place swapping back and forth. Wendy eventually took a 2 point lead before shooting a clear round at 50yds to secure 4th behind the other 3 GB Internationals.

Wendy with the Hoyt Challenge Cup and fellow EMAS Team Member
Victoria Eaton being presented with her medal.

Wendy was awarded the 4th place medal and will hold the Inter-Counties trophy for the next 3 months until it is passed on to one of the other winners. This is the first time EMAS have won the trophy at the target championships.

Ted Burnham from EAF has kindly let us use some of the photographs he took at the champs, these can be found here

On the hottest day of the year Lincs put up a strong performance but were beaten by Leicestershire. However Ellen Talbot won the Junior ladies recurve (visitors) and got her 1100 Rose award, and Wendy Rowell won the Senior ladies compound (visitors) title.

AIUK MooCo Shoot on the 4th Aug 07. Wendy and Trevor Rowell and Paul Adams took part in the AIUK MooCo shoot at Merlin Archery. This was a Long Western/Western. All 3 shot in the Long Western with Paul Adams winning the gents recurve, Wendy the ladies compound and Trevor came third in the gents compound. We all had a very enjoyable day, meeting up with archers from AIUK who travelled from around the UK to take part.

Junior Inter-Counties at Washingborough 22/7/2007. Juniors from Friskney Bowmen shot for Lincolnshire in the Junior Inter-Counties held at Washingborough on Sunday. Archers from Lincs, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Northants took part. The weather was good in comparison to the recent appaling conditions. Our juniors put up a good performance with Toni Talbot coming 4th in the Bristol 2 Recurve, Ellen Talbot coming 3rd in the Bristol 4 Recurve and Daniel Severn coming 3rd in the Compound Bristol 3. Overall Lincs didn't do so well with the recurve team coming 5th and the compound team 3rd.

EMAS FITA Star held at Welbeck 15/7/2007. Wendy Rowell (ladies compound) and Geoff Thomas (gents compound) represented Friskney Bowmen at Welbeck on Sunday. The scoring reflected a very high standard of entry and they all shot in the most appalling rain with very few retirements. The mens Compound was won by Simon Scott (Sherwood) with a 1360 score, with Tim Keppie of Edinburgh University Alumni coming second with a score around 1354. A field of 10 in the ladies compound was won by Rikki Westman of Bowmen of Birstall who shot a 1352. Wendy came second with 1335, breaking her PB by 20 and a new Lincolnshire County record (subject to verification), Rebecca Gridley of Edinburgh University Alumni came third with a score of 1320. Wendy Rowell, Paul Adams and Geoff Thomas represented Friskney Bowmen at the Sherwood Archers Record Status day of Nationals at Southwell on Sunday. We would like to congratulate Geoff on coming third in the gents compound double and Wendy on winning the ladies compound double. Wendy scoring two under maximum in the afternoon, this would have broken the GB record by 4 points, but unfortunately the record status applied only to the morning and Wendy shot 2 under the GB record. However these are new County and EMAS records (subject to verification).

Success at Double FITA Star held at Washingborough 23/24th June. Paul Adams and Wendy Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at Lincolnshires premier archery event. This was well organised by Lincoln and Grimsby who ensured the event ran smoothly under difficult weather conditions. It was good to see some common sense judging which I am sure made the weekend more enjoyable. Kelvin Oldham who judges many of our club events passed his assesment for upgrading - well done from all at Friskney.

Weather conditions were challenging on both days with thunder and lightning on the Saturday resulting in the archers being sent back to their tents while the weather passed. Archers came from all over the UK and included several current and former GB internationals both senior and junior.

This was Wendy's first FITA ladies and she managed to shoot a 1307 on the Saturday and a 1304 on the Sunday to take the title, being the only lady to break 1300 on either day. She also claimed her 1300 FITA star and subject to ratification new County records for the FITA Ladies, FITA Double, Long Metric, 70m, 60m, 50m and 30m.

County Outdoor Championships 10th June 2007. The Lincolnshire County Outdoor Championships were held at Pilgrim Bowmen's ground in Boston. An eventful days shooting saw a couple of major equipment failures in the gents compound class, however Silver Spoon's Colin Tucker decided not to give up and shot a national in the afternoon with a club recurve bow borrowed from Pilgrim. Friskney Bowen's Ellen Talbot won the junior ladies recurve title, Daniel Severn won the junior boys compound title and Wendy Rowell won the ladies compound title. Ellen and Daniel achieved their 900 rose awards, Toni Talbot achieved her 800 Rose award and Wendy got her final qualifying score for GMB. Friskney Bowmen came third in the team event.

Club York, Hereford, Bristols 3rd June 2007. We welcomed archers from around the County and beyond to a club competition in beautiful sunny weather. OOBAC sent a large contingent of archers from near Peterborough, whom we hoped enjoyed their days shooting with us. New club records were set by Ellen Talbot, Daniel Severn, Geoff Thomas and Wendy Rowell. Wendy improved on the County record she shot last weekend with a 1246. Geoff and Ian Clayton (Pilgrim) seemed to be having a friendly 'head to head' throughout the day and Pete Nettleton shot his first 6 Gold end. We would like to thank our visitors for supporting this event. Results can be found Here

Welbeck 27th May. An extremely wet and windy Welbeck welcomed archers to their Record status York, Hereford and Bristols on Sunday 28th May. Wendy Rowell and Paul Adams represented Friskney Bowmen at this event. A large field (30 bosses) was reduced throughout the day as archers retired due to the appaling weather. An estimated 1/3rd of the field retired but Paul and Wendy shot to the end. Wendy won the ladies Hereford with a score of 1242 gaining a new County and EMAS record, Paul came midway in a large field of recurve archers (results to follow). Paul is shooting in the record status Western on the 28th (weather permitting).

Silver Spoon Double FITA 900. A small group of archers from Friskney Bowmen took part in Silver Spoon's Double FITA 900 on Sunday 20th May. Weather conditions were near perfect with the sun shining all day. There was very little wind, although some light breezes came in towards the end of the day. A well organised event was enjoyed by a good field from around the County and further afield. Paul Adams came third in the Gents Recurve Double and Wendy Rowell won the ladies Single and Double Compound shooting an 841 and 849. Subject to verification, a new County and EMAS record. Everyone was exhausted after the double, shooting a single detail in the afternoon meant little rest but I think everyone preferred it.

County Windsor 13th May 2007. A very wet Friskney club field was the venue for the Lincolnshire County Windsor shoot. The first distance was shot in relatively dry conditions before the rain came in first quite light but developing into a continuous heavy downpour. The shoot was well attended with archers from all over the County. Club members did well with Joe and Janet Lloyd winning longbow, Wendy Rowell winning ladies compound with a new County record, Ellen Talbot came second in junior girls recurve, Josh Rowell came first in the boys compound with a new County record and Daniel Severn came second. The results can be found Here

Lincoln Archers York/Hereford/Bristols 6th May 2007. Malcolm and Paul Adams, Toni and Ellen Talbot, Wendy Trevor and Joshua Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at Washingborough on Sunday. This was a very windy day with our digi meter showing crosswinds blowing to 24mph. This made for some very interesting shooting. We would like to congratulate Toni Talbot for her first place in the Junior girls recurve, Ellen Talbot for her third place in the Junior girls recurve and Paul Adams for his third place in the gents recurve. Joshua Rowell shot in his first tournament away from our club but was the only boys compound shooting so did not medal despite his good score. Similarly Wendy shot an 1154 but was the only Lady compound shooting. With average scores being about 100 down because of the wind, everyone seemed pleased with their efforts.

Silver Spoon Western. Paul and Malcolm Adams, Trevor and Wendy Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at a Long Western/Western shoot held at Gleed School, Spalding on Sunday 15th April. It was a very hot sunny day (hottest of the year so far) Silver Spoon organised a very enjoyable shoot with everything running smoothly including a burger van! Unfortunately they were let down by some poor scoring by the competitors, meaning the team from Silver Spoon had to do quite a lot of recounting of scores.

Wendy Rowell won the ladies compound Long Western and Paul Adams came 3rd in the gents recurve Long Western. We enjoyed our shoot at Silver Spoon and the hospitality shown by them.

Easter Weekend Shoots. Malcom and Paul Adams, Trevor and Wendy Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at the Bassetlaw Anniversary Western on Easter Sunday. A stiff and unpredictable breeze made for interesting shooting. The shooting was split between 2 sessions with the pie and peas being served during the break. We all had an enjoyable time and Wendy won the ladies compound trophy with a score of 797, despite trying to help Trevor out by shooting on his target during one of the ends.

Easter Monday saw the club York/Hereford/Bristol shoot. We were please to welcome archers from in and out of the County. Friskney Bowmen enjoyed success in several events. Juniors Daniel Severn and Alex Flemming both won. All our longbow archers did well across all classes and Wendy Rowell won the ladies Compound with what we believe to be a new County Record of 1212. Paul Adams came third in the gents recurve and Craig Severn second in the Recurve Bristol II. Full results can be found HERE

We would like to thank those members who helped to setup, move targets and take down at the end. We would especially like to thank those archers from other clubs who gave up their time to help.

Lincolnshire County Indoor Archery Championships 18th March. Geoff Thomas, Paul Adams, Wendy and Trevor Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at the County Indoor Championships held at the Matthew Humberstone School in Cleethorpes. Wendy Rowell won the ladies title shooting a score of 1158 setting a new County record and equalling the current British record for the Double Portsmouth. Geoff Thomas came second in the gents compound class.

Record Status FITA 18 at Bingham on Sunday March 11th. We would like to congratulate Geoff Thomas for coming first in the Gents Compound, Sue Meads for coming second in the Ladies Longbow and Paul Adams for coming third in the Gents Recurve at this record status shoot.

Boston Indoor Series comes to an end. After another succesful season, the final round of the Boston indoor series was shot today at the Peter Paine sports centre in Boston. Concluding with a Worcester round, we saw some excellent shooting with GB team member Neil Dowsett shooting back to back 300's to take the match and the series. Anthony Hoyes, despite suffering from a broken nose, managed an excellent 299.

In the ladies compound, Grimsby's Rachael Sullivan was beaten for the first time by Friskney's Wendy Rowell 298 to 295, with Wendy we think taking the County record and EMAS Worcester x 2 record. Rachaels overall score for the series however meant she took the series trophy, scoring consistently well across the various rounds.

The juniors from Friskney deserve a special mention with noticeable improvements in their shooting and scores. Daniel Severn taking the boys compound trophy for todays match and the series with Alex Flemming taking the girls titles. Joshua Rowell shot in his first competition and came second to Daniel in the boys compound. Daniel shot a 152 in the PAA at the start of the series but had improved to 216 today. Alex shot a 201 in the PAA and improved to an excellent 267 in todays Worcester.

Joe and Janet Lloyd repeated their success in last weeks EFAA Nationals by taking the longbow match and series titles. Janet improved on the 105 she shot in the PAA to score a 133 today and Joe put in a 195 against the 182 at the start of the series. Alan Blythyn and Paul Newstead did not shoot today.

Paul Adams, Craig Severn and Chris Newstead shot in the gents recurve class against very tough opposition from Kevin Nolan, Chris Dawes and Rory Campbell with Kevin taking the match with a 283.

Field Captain for the series, Malcolm Adams, wished to express his thanks to all those who took part and to all those who helped setup and organise what has been a succesful and enjoyable series. Peter Paine is booked for the next indoor series which kicks off with a PAA round on the 4th of November. Results for this round can be found HERE

Paul Adams, Trevor and Wendy Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at the Record Status shoot held by Sherwood Archers at Rainworth on the 20-21 January 2007. Paul shot on both days, the FITA 18 on the Saturday and the Portsmouth on the Sunday. Wendy and Trevor shot the Portsmouth on the Sunday. Congratulations to Wendy for winning the Ladies Compound Double Portsmouth and Trevor for winning the Gents Single Compound Portsmouth. Paul narrowly missed a third place in the Gents Recurve Portsmouth, finishing 4th in a large field of recurve archers. Special mention must be made of the excellent way Sherwood Archers managed the two day event despite having part of the roof blown off in last weeks storm. Some photos can be found HERE

Malcolm and Paul Adams, Trevor and Wendy Rowell represented Friskney Bowmen at the H&L Challenge Trophy FITA 18m x 2 organised by Grimsby Archers and held at Cleethorpes on the 14th of January 2007. We would like to thank Grimsby for their kind hospitality and a well organised event. Wendy had a particularly close morning session against Grimsby's Rachael Sullivan, just managing to beat Rachael by 1 point. Rachael came back in the afternoon to win and take the ladies compound class. Wendy shot her PB of 554 for a FITA 18, coming in second overall. Trevor also shot his PB coming in 3rd in the gents compound. Although Paul's combined total for the 2 rounds was higher than the 3rd placed recurve, his single total mean't he missed out on 3rd place by 1 point.
