EMAIL Accounts

All members of Friskney Bowmen are entitled to an email account included in their annual subscription. This email address is an @archery.uk.net email address and can consist of your name or any none-reserved address such as admin, webmaster etc etc. See Trevor at the club to setup your account.

Non-members of Friskney Bowmen can purchase an email address for £5.99 for 1 year and includes the same features as the members email. Click Here to signup for an account. All email fees are used to pay for the running costs of Friskney Bowmens website and are processed via one of our members. Please email admin@archery.uk.net with your transaction number, chosen email address and password. Please note that the password MUST include 1 capital letter and 1 number. The number cannot be the first character. It must be 7 characters or more long.

About the email accounts

The email accounts allow access via POP3 or IMAP and advanced Webmail and feature:

  • CLAM Anti-Virus Protection
  • Spam Assasin
  • Use of same username and password for send and receive of email

To Access your webmail Click Here The Username is your full @archery.uk.net email address and the password is the one you chose when creating your account. You will also find information here about using your account with your PDA/Phone.

Setting up your @archery.uk.net email account

In this example we use outlook express as it is the most popular. We cannot offer individual support for different email clients. Open outlook express then from the main menu -

  • Click 'Tools', then 'Accounts', then 'Add'
  • Select 'Mail'
  • In the first box that appears type the name that you wish recipients to see for example 'Fred Bloggs' Click Next
  • In the next box enter your email for example fred.bloggs@archery.uk.net then click Next
  • You will now see the Servers box, make sure POP3 is selected and then enter mail.archery.uk.net for both POP3 and SMTP servers. Click Next
  • Your username is the email address you selected in this eample you would enter fred.bloggs@archery.uk.net and the password is the password you selected. Make sure that the 'Remember password' checkbox is ticked and then click Next
  • Click 'Finish'
  • You can now test your new email account, perhaps sending an email from an existing account and then replying to it.
