3D 2 x 20 Field Shoot 20 July 2008

We had our second field shoot at Gypsy Bridge Sunday the 20th July. The wood looked totally different this time, the green canopy of leaves on the trees made it a real treat to be back in the forrest. We managed to set 20 targets at varying distances. I particularly liked No11 target as you walked around the corner of the wood you were confronted by the upright bear looking very menacing at you! So you had better get him in one shot. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I hope everyone did too.

Thank you very much to all the members who came to help setup the course and to gather it all in again at the end of the day. Thank you to Steve Grover who strimmed all the pathways and shooting lanes in the wood the week before the shoot and shooting weekend. Many thanks to Gladys for doing registration. Our next shoot we hope will be on the 7th of September but I need to confirm this with Peter Richardson. The members who attended the shoot said they would like to have the deer shoot here whilst the weather is dry and because it was Den's favourite shoot we are going to call it the Dennis Ingham Memorial Field Shoot. Many years before the 3D targets Dennis used to paint deers onto cardboard. Many times I remember watching him paint them, it was a bit like watching Rolf Harris, he would put a load of colour on the paper and suddenly the deers would appear before your eyes.
